MF3D Traktor Mapping Not Working
Posted on: 04.06.2012 by Mercedez Clodfelder
I just received my MF3D yesterday..

I am trying to use the MF3D DeckGratMotion mapping in Traktor 2 found here:

http://maps.djranking s.com/mappings/173

However, I can not seem to get it up and running. I have followed the instructions down to a "T". I have set the MD Utility to "4 Banks Disabled Hold" like the instructions say, as well as set the Global Settings to its required values. But..after completing the setup, there is no response from Traktor form any of the buttons.

If anyone could help, I would appreciate it. I have gone through all trouble shooting steps I can believe of.

We will be releasing a new version of the utility in the next few weeks which will make it a little clearer that no other MIDI host application can be running at the same time as the Utility.

The Utility uses MIDI (SYSEX) to communicate with the device, if another MIDI/Audio application is running at the same time, then only onc application (the utility or say Traktor) is allowed control of the Midi Fighter MIDI pipes, this means it wont work with the other application.

The utility trick deffinitly did it. I had assumed the program was stable for use with Traktor...I thought wrong lol.

huh, did you import one map or all 4 of the All Inclusive?
On the MF3D DeckGratMotion did you import the settings twice?
OH wait a minute, do you have the midifighter utility open at the same time as Traktor? They can't be open at the same time. The midifighter utility intercepts the signal, so you get zero response from Traktor.

@weltraumpapst - Yes, The IN/OUT ports are set to the MF3D exclusively.

@PlataKnow - I assume that I am doing something wrong, or that some setting is not set right because I cannot get your to work either.

have you set the IN/Out ports in the controller manager accordingly?
