Pansy Shiveley 08.01.2013 | The Beaubryte mapping works great (hats off), but Android's lack of proper ad-hoc wifi support is driving me nuts. It's all fun and games at home (i.e. with proper wifi router), but the 2 times I tried to use it live (i.e. with ad-hoc wifi) have been a complete mess. Have you tried ad-hoc yet paulmac? The built-in ad-hoc functionality (i.e. true ad-hoc) of both OSX and Windows is supposed to be incompatible with Android, but there are applications that emulate a real wifi hotspot (like Virtual Router and Connectify on Windows, not sure about OSX). It looked like Connectify did the trick, but when using it for a couple of hours TouchOSC somehow kept losing connection with Traktor every couple of minutes, I suppose because of wifi connection problems. What's worse, Connectify has completely screwed up my Wifi drivers several times , and the evening after installing it I've also had my first and only BSOD. Apparently, ad-hoc isn't as standardized as it should be, which is why Android doesn't support it, but it's a real pain. Connectify should do the trick, but seems to be unstable for me, and Virtual Router doesn't work without an ethernet cable. |

s.com/mappings/671 This guy's hacked together a custom mapping for the android version of TouchOCS, and it works pretty well . Also has instant grat too like you wanted. |

Roy Houn 30.12.2012 | Can you use the instant gratification mapping with it do you know? |
Janyce Henningson 30.12.2012 | Nah haven't tried it yet cos I have an iPad and they have midi apps that just works so easily, but I've been meaning to try something on android - the thing that's putting me off is there are no direct midi apps that are any good and with touchosc you can't do custom templates on the droid version yet I don't believe. |
Roy Houn 30.12.2012 | Wow, looks like complicated and involved haha, anyone done this on an android tablet yet? |
Roy Houn 30.12.2012 | Cheers mate:-) |
