Current RMX1000 owners or Future purchasers
Current RMX1000 owners or Future purchasers Posted on: 10.10.2012 by Yon Gigler A friend of mine who is a steel fabricator is looking to put an RMX-1000 stand into production as there seems to be very little (if any) in the way of a dedicated stand for it.Before he puts it into production he is looking for some suggestions on what the stand should incorporate and also if there will be a market for it. If anyone was at BPM 2012 and noticed the stand on the Pioneer setup it will closely represent that although a standard version without the laser cut 'Pioneer' wording unless it's requested at time of manufacture. There will be an option to have a custom logo or wording into back plate also. I'd appreciate your thoughts | |
Yon Gigler 10.10.2012 | I did mention sturdiness to him as a main priority when we first talked about this. If the feet of the stand were thin enough to sit under the mixer without setting the mixer into a unstable incline that would help to support it. I believe at first it will be a static stand but an adjustable version could also be made but not sure of the extra cost. As a ball park figure I recon he will be selling the stand for around |

Tatum Ansaldo 07.01.2013 | Oh it's the djstandz one! I nearly bought the fixed version on eBay but then it disappeared and I can't find it anywhere, do you have a link? Maybe a technical consultant's discount code? |

Tatum Ansaldo 05.01.2013 | Did this ever come to anything? |
Mimi Mahaffee 10.10.2012 | if there would be a stand i could put infront of 12'' mixer, angled over the mixer at adjustable height and good stability i would be happy! |

Lauretta Ehrhorn 10.10.2012 | I use this stand which would work for the RMX1000. I have araldited velcro on to the shelf below. If you can bring yourself to attach velcro to the bottom of the RMX1000 then it won't budge. http://www.djworx.com/skratchworx/re...smartstand.php |
Palma Hanslip 10.10.2012 | Pretty much FEP! Haha! |
Tatum Ansaldo 10.10.2012 | So in conclusion, everyone wants something completely different, but it has to be sturdy! |
Brunilda Kora 11.10.2012 | What we need is a fully adjustable stand. Something with a bunch of wing-nuts and sliding base/sides. |
Palma Hanslip 11.10.2012 | I use my Uberstand to hold my RMX, but if you could make something that could comfortably sit under the Uberstand but still have room to let my Audio 8 sit on my Uberstand you would definitely be onto a winner. Also sturdiness is the key point here really |
Tatum Ansaldo 11.10.2012 | Personally I have my laptop off to the side these days so I'd prefer just a straight up RMX stand. |
Johnsie Kingrea 10.10.2012 | If it was a combo laptop stand with an RMX 1000 shelf underneathe that'd be sweet. But either way this is needed. Looking for angle and height adjustability and it has to be stable. |

Tatum Ansaldo 10.10.2012 | Pioneer are indeed releasing a stand very similar to the one that was on display at BPM. In terms of what it needs, I'd say it must be minimal in design and not take up too much space, possibly with a plate that fits under the back of the mixer. The height and angle should be adjustable. Above all it must be VERY stable, so that you can hit the release FX switch quick and hard without it wobbling or moving. Hope that helps. |
Cira Ditz 10.10.2012 | Hiya - I've got one and still yet to get a stand (it sits on a box of 25 cds in my home studio which works fine but would love something taht can neatly and sturdily fit underneath a DJM at work as space is a premium but also be portable) From what I've read on the Pioneer community they are set to release their own stand in about 4 weeks or so, but yeh I've been looking at all sorts of laptop stands online and not settled on any yet. Good luck with it if you do go into production and will def check it out as an option |
