All LEDs on, not recognized

So I just bought a used Midi Fighter Classic from my buddy cause he's had it sitting around for a bit and wasn't using it. I tried plugging it in to my computer and the MF Utility won't recognize it. I tried using the 4 corners method as well as placing jumpers in the board as in this method

Are there any additional drivers or software that I need to install?

BTW I'm running Windows 8 with a midi fighter classic and MF Utilities 2.3

Thanks

I haven't tried it on Windows 7 yet but I did hook it up to my friend's Mac and that didn't recognize it either.

You tried it with win 7? I'm not quite sure if utility is supported with win 8...
