Changing X1 deck layout
Posted on: 11.01.2013 by Evalyn Voges
OK, before I start, I know where the option is to do this.

Currently, I use a Korg KM-402, with two 1210s and two X1s. I use the X1s for four deck mixing. I have the 1210s set up as channels B/C as those are the only ones with phono capability. This makes four deck mixing confusing as the the layout on the mixer is nothing like the X1s or screen. What I need to have as a X1 option is C/A/B/D to mostly match what's on the mixer. Is this possible? Does this even make sense?

I have mine set up C/A & B/D - is that what you mean? (2 X1's)
If so let me know and I'll send the tsi's

Download it and see, but I'd be surprised if they use midi. It's easier to map the X1 in NHL mode and it makes more sense to have done so. You can tell by looking at the mapping commands, if it says 'mapped to: left cue' or whatever it's NHL, if it says something like 'mapped to: ch1 noteA#3' then it's midi

Hey wow. Thanks! Do these remaps use the original NI maps with light feedback etc? Or is it MIDI mapped?

Looks like you might have to change the mappings manually: http://www.native-instruments.com/fo...d.php?p=664440
