Should I keep my Xone 92?
Should I keep my Xone 92? Posted on: 08.01.2013 by Joya Heiberg I'm new to the community
, so I'd like to start off buying saying hello. Hello. I've had a Xone 92 for a little while now, and honestly, aside from the basic features of it, I don't know what I'm doing half the time. I only use the hpf filter and that works great for me. So I feel like the 92 is a bit of an overkill for me. I play Nu-Disco/New Wave/Tropical House so my focus is mostly on transitions and track selection. I | |

I use the ipad and go from USB out on my mixer (Xone S2) to camera connection on ipad which detects an input when in FIRe. I assumed this would be the same on an iphone but it seems camera connection kits don't work with them. |

Mora Sobieck 12.01.2013 | Keep the 92 mate. There's a reason the biggest names in techno use a 92. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 12.01.2013 | My biggest regret was selling my xone 62. Will get another one or a 92 as soon as I can afford it again. |
Marquetta Sarnie 12.01.2013 | Blabla.. I prefer DJM to xone. I have owned xone 42 and played on 92 but Pioneer layout suits me better, although it can't beat xone's sound and built quality. |
Bunny Sockel 12.01.2013 | The only mixer that i believe compares to the 92 is the xone DB4 |
Roderick Maund 12.01.2013 | Well I have a Xone 92, pretty well with it... The thing is that I believe you still didn't look to all the options that xone 92 gives you. When I play at clubs I never use Pioneers or anything, only my good old xone 92 or use the xone 92 of the club if it has one... Nothing beats its sound quality, its filters, its connectivity with other external effects like digital delays for example. I say you see a little further for someone that actually has one to show you all the possibilities! You'd be amazed to what you can do... |

Jeffrey Akinsanya 08.01.2013 | its a downgrade.. |
Joya Heiberg 08.01.2013 | So what about that DJM 350? It seems sufficient enough. |
Annalisa Shogren 08.01.2013 | Just get one of these instead if you aren't already using software. http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/h2/ So simple. |

Lauretta Ehrhorn 08.01.2013 | I use Reaper to record but any DAW should do a decent job. |

Jeffrey Akinsanya 09.01.2013 | you mite kick you self as later on in time.. there no reason why you cant record out the 92!? my theory is you better off with a top class old mixer than a mid/low range new (unless you want midi/usb/dvs). |
Augustina Zulu 09.01.2013 | The HPF (and filters in general) are not going to be as good on basically any other mixer. The 92's filters are legendary. You said you were having issues with recording - what were they? You should be able to put record out into basically any sound card. Also get monitors. Rockits are fine. Other brands are good too. Anyting is going to be better than PC speakers. Nothing has improved my mixing and producing more than getting proper monitors. Did I say get monitors? |
Kasandra Kreindler 09.01.2013 | I'll trade you a Xone 42 + Cash for your 92 |
Leeanna Ayla 08.01.2013 | I'll trade you a nearly new Z2 + some cash for your 92. |
