Help Troubleshoot - Syncing two computers together for Ableton
Help Troubleshoot - Syncing two computers together for Ableton Posted on: 14.01.2013 by Shameka Prohaska Hey there. My friend and I have been playing sets together every week and we've been trying to figure out an issue that we've been getting trying to connect our two Mac's together for our set. We've followed the tutorials online that go through the steps of setting up a network then going into midi network setup and creating a session and attempting to connect one computer to the other session, etc...We have tried using a wireless and ethernet connection to sync our computers, but the issue that we are having is that when we try to connect one computer to the other we are getting an error message saying "Check the address/port and any firewall or router settings." We've both tried turning off our firewalls to no avail. If I had to guess I would have to do something in network settings, but I'm not sure where to start. Thanks for your help. | |
