Trainspotter Tutorial Video

I just started to use some of its basic functions but I know its a very powerful program and theres a lot more I can do with it. So I was seeing if anyone who uses it regularly would be willing to make a tutorial video I wouldn't mind making a donation via paypal too

I don't know man, I'm 43 and I get it. Not THAT hard is it?

Anyway, sorry not to add anything useful to the conversation here but suffice to say that trainspotter is well worth the effort.

It's an essential part of my collection organization because of the smart playlists. I have playlists by bpm range, energy level, key words, you name it.

Plus if you register, you can use it to detect keys.

Keep at it & go see the trainspotter community

As papo says, post your issue to the support community and we'll work through it from there. It helps to keep this stuff in one place. Screenshots are very helpful at quickly locating what you're having problems with.

In the absence of any videos (I will get round to doing some) you can check out the searchable online help system in Trainspotter, which should hopefully give you some tips on performing various tasks.

I've also done some remote troubleshooting session with people in the past, so if you're still scratching your head we can arrange one of those (and maybe record it).
Thanks for the info as this was my first install of the program i didnt have anything older versions to revert back to so i just uninstalled, going to install 2.3.2 today, if i still run into issues do you have a place on your site where we can download older versions of the software, i was looking around a bit but didnt find any just found the Mac OSX link for the latest

try updating to 2.3.2 to see if it will fix it. If not, go ahead and send a message to the developer.

Showing some cool features, tips, tricks etc. Cause I know it has some cool advanced tagging features which are better than itunes cause it shows in traktor. The only thing that I have used was the beatport tagging feature which worked great but I know theres a lot more it can do.

No, I don't generally keep older versions available for download. If someone does an update an it breaks something, they can't rollback, they don't have the previous zip file anywhere and they need it fixed urgently, I can rebuild whatever release was working for them, otherwise I'll fix it and create a new update.

If you want to completely reset your Trainspotter installation, then rename your /Users/<username>/Trainspotter2 directory

it is not as user-friendly as other apps I am used to. However, you figure it out, it is very useful. The developer is really good on reported bugs and following up with you.

what is not working when you try to update just the album art, artist, title?
Kasandra Kreindler
11.12.2012
i believe this program has some potential but not particularly user friendly, i booted it up on my MBP OSX 10.7 and it recognized my traktor collection.nml but would only show it in one window and not in the playlist area so i could select it to do a batch search on beatport/discogs mainly just trying to automate what little is left in completing all the tags and formatting stuff on my music i have all keyed and most is correct just would like album art and some artist title stuff fixed and i cant get it to work at all

I use it, but only to tag Beatport tracks.

What do you plan on using it for?
Armando Chrystal
11.12.2012
anyone considering doing one?
