Question for teh traktor Headz... Posted on: 24.01.2013 by Brunilda Kora With a 4-deck set-up in traktor Scratch Pro 2.5/2.6, Could you have 2 decks set to vinyl control, and 2 decks set to to internal, AND sync the internal decks to Ableton Live??? (One of the internal sync'd decks sending midi to Ableton...)I understand that you're gonna need a BEAST of a laptop to do it - but canit be done? | |

Neal Rayome 24.01.2013 | He only wants a midi sync and ableton and traktor can use the same soundcard without losing timecode support. |
Inez Marcinik 24.01.2013 | How could it be done? in order to send out to ableton you'd need to use an audio routing app, which would mean you couldn't use timecode. |
Neal Rayome 25.01.2013 | On a proper setup system, latency depends more on the soundcard than on the system. In that department you don't have much choice but the NI cards. Running the card on 256 samples should give you enough stability and your latency would be low enough. |
Brunilda Kora 24.01.2013 | Were you running DVS? I need to be able to have 2 decks set to vinyl with absolute minimum latency... |
Corey Tronchin 24.01.2013 | I don't believe you need an enormous beast of a laptop for that. I was able to have Ableton, Traktor and Maschine in Ableton open on a core2duo 2,3 ghz with 3 gb ram. Even though that was pushing it, but I guess a decent i5 laptop should be more than sufficient. |
Brunilda Kora 24.01.2013 | Bo. Time to start shopping for a BEAST of a machine. |
Alphonso Deitchman 24.01.2013 | Yes. |
