Tandy Fillipi 13.01.2012 | Definitely not a steal like people are suggesting. |
Vikki Jeannoel 08.01.2012 | definitely go for it man |
Alix Schambers 08.01.2012 | Thanks for all the response everybody. i'm trying to see if I can cut some kinda deal with him and he's dealing with some other buyer right now who got first dibs. My biggest obstacle would be finding a place where to set it up in my pretty little condo. The S2 didn't the bother the wife as it sat in the computer table very discreetly. Since I had gotten used to the traktor i'm even believeing of going with the traktor scratch since i'll be returning the S2 if the deal happens. |
Audrey Pinda 07.01.2012 | If you have the cash, and just want to keep it simple... it sounds like solid setup for a reasonable price. It's not an "amazing" deal, but it's one of those deals that is priced pretty solidly and you wouldn't be overpaying for. Of course you can piece together stuff for cheaper (it's what I and many others have done) but there's something to be said for just being able to grab everything in one fell swoop. If you have the cash, I'd say go for it. It's a solid setup that you won't be disappointed with. I would try to talk the guy down though. But as those are MK5's, it really isn't a bad deal as long as they are in decent condition. |
Wei Lebeaux 07.01.2012 | @Xonetacular I'd do the EXACT same thing. Crisp hundreds have a way of changing minds... quick. |
Romelia Stankard 07.01.2012 | It's a fair deal, not sure I would be as excited about it as some people are suggesting here since you could get this kind of deal on ebay. Definitely not a steal like people are suggesting. Depends what kind of deals come up by you. Pair of MK5s with M447s go for around $750 on craigslist, SL1 for $300 (tops), that mixer for $150. Personally I wouldn't buy it for 1500, but if you live in a place with less fortunate craigslist opportunities it's a fair deal compared to what you would pay on ebay for that and MK5s (1000-1100 shipped for a pair with needles). Then $300 for an sl1 and that mixer or similar for $150-$200 shipped. So it's pretty similar to what you could grab on ebay at any time. I would offer him $1200 and try to get him to compromise at 1300 if you want all that stuff. |
Yee Bedilion 07.01.2012 | Last time i passed up a deal similar to this I regretted it for like 2 years. I'd hop right on this. |
Vikki Jeannoel 07.01.2012 | great deal! go for it if its all in good condition! |
Brunilda Kora 07.01.2012 | Snap his hands off BARGAIN!!! |
Osvaldo Newhall 07.01.2012 | Looks like a good deal to me. |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 07.01.2012 | that's the best tables, mixer & carts from a few years ago, sl1 is an old soundcard but apart from only having 4 ins and outs still fine to use, check out the quality of the tables and mixer when you get there but they should be fine, he is a scratch guy so either he raped all his gear, or gave up on the dream after blowing a lot of cash, or got married and wasn't allowed to keep the gear LOL. to buy it all brand new you are looking at well over $4000 I'd call straight away if you have the cash. Personally I would use the vestax mixer, and sell the S2 but if you had to if the mixer is in good condition you could get around $400 for it in Australia |
Verona Candia 07.01.2012 | I could be wrong, but sounds like a pretty great deal |
