Vickey Fransway 30.01.2013 | I have Beat's Pro (two pair actually) and Beat's Mixr's. I like both and generally keep the Mixr's in my laptop bag in case I forget my others. I also have Pioneer HDJ-2000 and I like them also. As for the Pro's, I like them a lot. They sound very nice warm and bassy and when just listening to music I like it. For DJ'ing I like them also, they are tighter on my head and I like the ear piece flips back. I DJ mainly in clubs and I find the extra bass in the headphones makes it easier to hear the kicks when beatmatching. They are a lot heavier wearing and bulkier around my neck when I am not wearing them on my ears than Pio-HDJ2000s or the Mixr's. I bought them from Best Buy and I got the Best Buy extended warranty in case I broke them at gig. I believe the looks of them are great too especially the white ones which are what I have. The HDJ2000's are great for DJ'ing. Very nice comfortable fit, great sounding. Probably a lot flatter than the Beat's Pro but I have never actually tested them. They are probably my favorites but I generally keep them connected to my home DJ setup and use the Beat's at clubs. When I got my 2000s a few years ago they did not have white. If they did I would have probably bought a 2nd pair instead of the Beat's Pro and I probably will at some point buy some White 2000s anyway. The Mixr's are fine, smaller/compact and the wires on them are actually a lot better than the Pros where they connect to the ear piece. All of the these headphones have replaceable cables but the Beats use a standard 1/8" not mini xlr. Both the Beat's also have plugs on both ear pieces so you can chose whichever side you prefer but in addition, the side you are not using becomes an extension port so there are times when I have a friend in the booth with me and they really enjoy listening to what I am doing and mixing into which is nice or if I am out listening on my ipad someone can plug into my headphones and listen as well very handy feature. Addie Engbrecht 30.01.2013 | Beats Pro are a decent pair of headphones, comfortable to me, but they are nothing too special. Like everyone else has said, you can find something comparable or even a pair you like more for cheaper. |
Nestor Epper 30.01.2013 | Thumbs down to beats. WAY too much bass. You cant hear much of anything else because it bleeds over everything. I'm still rockin HDJ1000's and planning to upgrade soon but I love that their cheap and feel great for long periods of time. |
Georgie Lukowiak 30.01.2013 | +1 on the HDJ2000's ! |

Tova Ofsthun 30.01.2013 | Bought Beats, used them for 6 months, the bass was so over the top it bled into the rest of the track and forced me to work at lower volume levels so i didn't make myself deaf. they broke in 6 months, monster refused to touch them. Moral of the story, Don't buy monster products, Grab yourself a pair of pioneer HDJ 2000's well they're on sale, |
