Slipmats? Posted on: 15.12.2011 by Erich Vallabhaneni So im looking into slipmats and of course there are a billion and a half to choose from...what kind do you guys use? I know alot of people that use butter rugs and say they are legit, but i was believeing of getting a custom pair from Glowtronics. Post some slip's you guys use or like. (P.S. if i get a glow in the dark slipmat and use clear Traktor TC vinyls will you be able to see it ish?) | |

Delila Vandommelen 25.02.2012 | Got myself some Traktor Butter Rugs over a week ago. I don't scratch but they're a pleasure just to mix with. I'll be taking them to gigs with me for sure. |

Glennis Bischoff 25.02.2012 | i personally use Gemini standard "mixing the world through music" ones with a butter rug underneath, felt side down. i know i know, im using it wrong, but its that perfect tension bubble to my fingers. its a scratchy dream. and i got the butter rugs free with some vinyl, so why not trow em on? |
Ninfa Larranaga 03.02.2012 | got the stokyo serato limited edition slipmats |

Rhona Naron 20.01.2012 | you goddamn psy-trance hippies =P Only kidding, would love to see what those look like in action |
Erich Vallabhaneni 20.01.2012 | I ended up with these and some Flying Carpets just to start out on, i know it might be kinda cheesy but i believe glow in the dark slipmats with clear vinyl looks sickkk http://images.hhv.de/catalog/detail_big/00058/58207.jpg |
Corrin Penney 17.01.2012 | sicmats ftw! Technics mats are nice, but ive got traktor butter rugs on the way. |

Bethany Adrianzen 14.12.2011 | I'm using the bog standard stock numark ones, and not really having any problems with them, I seem to be able to scratch with them just fine too. granted, the torque on the TTX is pretty high, so I can be quite heavy handed. Do proper scratching slipmats make that much of a difference? |

Spencer Kilcoyne 14.12.2011 | If you scratch get either Butter Rugs/Frosted Plates/Speedmats If you scratch and want to use purdy slipmats (like me - I use my Purple Radio ones) put Flying Carpets under them If you don't scratch, bog standard will do you won't it? |
Erich Vallabhaneni 14.12.2011 | Thats what i was believeing, i use a LED Shadow black light strobe and other lights in my set and i wanted something that would look dope with lights and stuff goin on, but like they said above i dont want to sacrifice scratch efficiency or add alot of static just to look sick. but if its efficient and looks legit then thats what im looking for |
Tari Jeangilles 14.12.2011 | But white slipmats under clear vinyls look so sick when a par can lights them up. I'm using http://www.dskreet.net/ right now, not used to them being that slippery. |
Erich Vallabhaneni 14.12.2011 | Word, ill probably get some butter rugs. I really want a pair of the limited edition fluorescent Traktor vinyls, but they are rare so i kinda wanted to have clear control vinyl with some sick glowing stuff on the slip if it would show throught, but if i have to sacrifice efficiency for the awe effect then its not worth it |

Nguyet Shedenhelm 14.12.2011 | Butter rugs |
Yong Aptekar 15.12.2011 | I've got ortofon mats, the ones with the blue genie on em. |
Nisha Latkowski 15.12.2011 | Butter Rugs for scratching... Dr. Suzuki Slipmats: Mix Edition for mixing... I would stay away from any slipmat with acrylic paint..unless your strictly DVS (scuffed vinyl wouldn't be a big deal) |
