CDJ 1000mk3 SD Cards

CDJ 1000mk3 SD Cards
Posted on: 12.03.2012 by Cira Swanda
Hey everyone, I just ordered my first pair of CDJ 1000mk3s and was wondering if the SD cards can store music? I know they save hotcues and wave data, but I've read conflicting answers online that say they can or can't hold music. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I vaguely remember that the memory cards didn't work after a normal format. Don't really remember why as I've used the same memory cards for the last 5 or so years. I can check next week if no one else gets to

I remember accidentally formatting a card in my pc once and I downloaded a tool some where to format them. I just had a quick look on Google but couldn't find it

Can you not format them in the cdj?

You can format it in your computer?

Pure speculation but it might be possible they would have trouble with larger sd cards. I used 512mb ones when i had mine and I know my DB4 has issues with any usb drive over 4gb... It is just holding cue points s find small cheap ones?

I've read the MK3 manual several times over and can't find out how to do it on the CDJ. Maybe I'm missing something obvious in the print. Do you know how to format the SD card?

Nope no music can be stored on them. Kind of a downside as i NEVER use the SD cards but if they stored music i would..

Music can't be stored on them, unfortunately. The 350, 400, 850, 900, and 2000 are the CDJs that can play music from USB.
