Numark problem
Posted on: 04.08.2012 by Altagracia Airy
Just bought a numark m2 mixer to go along with my sl1 and str8-100 turntables. When i play music with the turntables, the sound coming out of my Harbringer speakers sounds extremely distorted. any ideas on why?

my mixer is connected to my speakers and the sl1, the sl1 is connected to both of my turntables and my computer.

whats wrong with it?

Check where the wires are plugged in. The turntable RCA should go into the PHONO of the SL1, the RCA from the SL1 should go into the LINE of the M2 mixer. Switch the input of the mixer to LINE. Even though the turntable produces a phono signal, the computer produces the actual music which a digital signal, therefore the SL1 has to go into a LINE. That should do it
