In need of some serious help! Posted on: 23.09.2012 by Darcey Kinnett Okay guys. Long story short. I'm in the market for some new gear. Just sold my APC40. I do house parties quite regularly, but I also would really like to get accustomed to playing on a decent set of CDJs, as I may have some club gigs in the near future lined up. One side of me wants to get a 2nd hand S4, as it is amazing with traktor, light and portable - pretty much perfect for house parties. But, of course, it won't particularly help in my endeavour to get some decent club action. Now, the other side of me want to obtain either a 2nd hand set of CDJ900s or 850s (I'd want a full size platter and USB compatibility), but obviously, a setup like this wouldn't be very portable, and not very well suited to house parties! (my main form of income) Basically, if you were in my situation, what would you opt for? Could you ever see yourself lugging CDJs out to mobile gigs on a reg. basis? Any feedback is greatly appreciated <3 | |

Adrian Zadrozny 25.09.2012 | If you plan on staying within software such as Traktor, then the S4 is a great, cheaper choice. However like you said if you want to get accustomed to more of a 'club standard' feel you may want to save up and go cdj's. If your in the market for an S4 hit me up. I'm selling my complete package with flight case and warranty. |
Nancey Inderlied 23.09.2012 | CDJs + Mixer + Flight cases = heavy as shit, but transportable very easily. |
Danae Dumler 23.09.2012 | Dude, I used to lug turntables, mixer, AND vinyl to house parties. You'll be fine |
