Hey guys, I want to enter the realm of using vinyl but I'm on a budget. What would be the best turntable I can get for around $600 each? i would be using it With Traktor Scratch Pro.

Thanks for the help!

They early models had issues but I heard they fixed that with the new versions. Worth doing research and finding out what the situation is.

Id def go after a used pair of techs, the str8150, pdx-3000's, ir 1240. Avoid the ttx's like the plague. Ive never come across a pair that still work like new. They all have issues. I bought a pair once as well. Never again.

The Audio Technica 1240 is a very nice turntable

$350 each. That's a sweet deal for the Audio Technica 1240.

I dunno- TTXs could certainly compete for the title of "Best Turntable"... Unless you're really after a brand or image I don't believe you'd ever be disappointed with them.

Function is definitely higher than fashion but the ttx are pretty weird looking. They're not exactly the best you can get right? I'm pretty happy with my technics. I'm not trying to argue with you man. Just chill out.

Ugly? You're picking gear based on looks?

I stand corrected. I wouldn't want one of those anyway. They're pretty ugly. I'd go with either the Stanton's or the audio technica.

TTXs sure ain't "super OEMs".

The majority will tell you to go for a set of technics which is great advice as for yeas they were the only TT worth purchasing but not looking through the technic tinted glasses there are several amazing TT available. Any of the ones people have mentioned would be perfect and u will not be disappointed. Just don't buy the first you see as there will be some bargains out there if you monitor the web.

What ever u get enjoy them.

Another vote for the Stanton ST.150 or ST8.150, but any super OEM turntable should be fine.

Second hand technics or st-str8 150s or any of the other super OEMs.

If you're travelling with them a lot, get 1200s. If you're using them at home mostly, get Stanton Str8-150s. The Stanton's are really nice but they're super heavy, I'd hate to gig with them.

Stanton str8 150 or just the 150 or even technics if there are any available.

eBay search for a few weeks n keep looking out for deals on there. Offer to pay away from eBay through PayPal this reducing fees paid by seller and could result in a reduced price for yourself. And u are still covered through PayPal!

I always see people selling M3D's in my town for about $350/table.

I got my pair of technics 1200 mk2 for $600 total. They're pretty good.
