How do I record my mix sesh in S4 software?
Posted on: 06.11.2010 by Kristian Buneta
I can't arm the record button in the S4 gui which I believe is odd. Is there a thing in particular which must be enabled for me to do this?

I went to it, adjusted all my settings and then it asked me to download this specific track. The link says "download now" and when I click on it, it just accesses the FTP and starts streaming it from there, and does not allow me to download it. Can someone else please try to download it and let me know if i'm doing something wrong or if its happening to everyone?

I don't know for sure, I just remember last evening my friend literally all he had to do with his computer was hit sync and it sync'd it up nearly perfectly. I was kinda upset! I do love my S4 though, and don't mind taking the time to learn everything the hard way.

Thanks guys! I'm going to go over the guide in a few minutes and keep practicing till I get it down. However, like Fullenglishpint i'm still curious as to why VDJ has an easier autogridding feature than Traktor. Is there any specific reason Traktor did not incorporate that? Jus curious .

Whenever I use it on the S4, I have to adjust the tempo or whatever. I'm just curious if I am doing it wrong, or if Virtual DJ just does that better.

I hope i'm making sense, as I just got home and am slightly intoxicated.

Yep, you need to grid your tracks. It's a little work, but in the end it's well worth it.

I have a mate who uses VDJ and it does seem to be better at gridding tracks from the off... not sure why.
