S4 Jog Wheel pops right off
S4 Jog Wheel pops right off Posted on: 08.11.2010 by Brigid Lagerman The left jogwheel has an issue: the grooved top pops right off as if it was not fastened. I do not want to break anything but want to see if anyone has an idea how the is supposed to be fastened. Here is a pict of it here. It looks like you should line it up with the plastic catches on the inside of the jog wheel with the same catches on the grooved top and then turn it until it snaps. I just want to make sure that is the way it works before I make a bad snap Anybody every took off or put on the grooved top onto their jog wheel? | |

Dallas Casa 09.11.2010 | I have the same problem. My S4 came with the right jog loose. I have reattached it correctly but and recalibrated it but it still doesnt work right. No pitch bending or scratching. What to do? |
Treva Carinio 08.11.2010 | Good to hear it's fixed |
Brigid Lagerman 08.11.2010 | You can let Karlos know I popped the wheel back into place. Thanks for the help; I was worried about pushing too hard given that chip sitting on of of there and all that. Sometimes I don't know y own strength and I bust shit. |
Leeanna Ayla 08.11.2010 | I predict this thread turning into the hey Karlos thread. |
Arica Grow 08.11.2010 | hey..Be careful. I'm a lazy ass chinese DJ. |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 08.11.2010 | Hold the outer rim with one hand so it does not move. With your other hand put the plate on and press down with your fingers around the edge. Turn the plate counter clockwise until the clips click onto place. You will feel them click and the jog wheel should be firmly attached. You MUST, you HAVE to recalibate it BEFORE you use it. Should be good to go. Please go to the NI Forum and download the Calibration guide PDF in the Kontrol S4 community :-) ------- EDIT: wow you guys are quicker than me today. Im on a go slow due to way to much alcohol this weekend !!! |

Treva Carinio 08.11.2010 | Yup. When I got my S4 the left one didn't work as it should, so I had to take the top-plate off to reposition it. If you look inside the jogwheel itself you'll see little hooks. These hooks grab onto the plastic hooks underneath the top-plate. - Just reposition the top-plate onto the jogwheel - Hold the outer rubber rim of the jogwheel still with one hand. - Now press hard on the plate itself and turn it counter clockwise untill you hear it click into place. It took me about 3 times before I got it to fasten, but as far I can see on the picture nothing is broken, so you can fix it pretty easily. |
