Remapping Xfader assignment leds to show deck phase Posted on: 12.01.2011 by Nedra Fresneda So i've been working for an hour or so in a secondary HID mapping to add some life to the S4's lights. It's not critical but it will help to keep the eyes off the screen a little.A) The selected deck in the deck (not mixer) displays flashes according to the beat. ie: only deck a or c will flash at a time, so you won't have any problems recognizing which deck is selected by looking at these displays (although you still have the static selected deck status in the central area). Selected deck stays lit when no playback is registered or when the selected deck is in sampler mode. I would need to map the master clock to these but it becomes useless if these decks are phased from the it or between each sampler. You can easily map this to any other button and it will only flash when X deck is selected (or you can have them mapped in the central area and disable my modifiers to have them all blinking at once when playing), but you will still have the same limitation with samplers. The flashing is on/off, so no gradual inc/dec of the led intensity till the beat comes, making it quite clear. B) Here comes the hard part: using x fader assignment leds to show deck phase. 1 | |

Nedra Fresneda 12.01.2011 | sooooo yeah, i can't overrite the led feedback of the native mapping (doesn't happen in user mode). It's still usable when manual mixing, but starts showing xfader assign if you use sync. damn you native instruments!!!!! :P |
Julissa Serrone 12.01.2011 | padi.....great idea man!!!! |
