confused with headphone cue mix

confused with headphone cue mix

ok i,m confused here, as when i turn my cue mix for my heaphones on front of s4 all the way to the left it i can hear whats playing in track b(right track) and visa verca when i turn it to the right, is this normal and can i change it as it quite confusing, hope this makes sense, cheers
