transfer settings and track info from TSP to S4 software?
Posted on: 01.02.2011 by Matthew Yanagisawa
Oh Hai, I was wondering if you could transfer your cues and notes from tracks from Traktor Scratch Pro to Traktor S4 software and how. I searched the community and couldnt see a thing...

Thing is that on my Mac it should be pretty straightfoward when changing (upgrading) software but I have a done a lot of work with older music I want to spin again (believe old The Prodigy style EDM) and transfer it to the new software...

Is there a file of software that can take all that info and transfer it to the S4 software? Is that info stored on the track itself like idtags?

Thanks

Earlier versions used to save all that stuff in the collection file but, if i'm not mistaken, nowadays it only points where the files are located.
I guess I didn't remember right, lol. Thanks for the correct info!

Padi, if I remember right, only the comments, bpm, etc are written to tags. The cues etc are in the collection file.
Nope, try importing these from Ean's Korg Nano routine

When you start S4 the first time (after upgrading the software) it asks if you want to import your stuff from Traktor Pro.
