Cue-Play mode on s4
Cue-Play mode on s4 Posted on: 19.02.2011 by Coreen Pankow so when i used to use my spin i would set my load cues and would use the CUP (cue-play) button to start the next track (as when you pressed then released it started playing from the cuepointon the s4 i have it set to cue play mode - on release. but it only plays as long as i hit the play button to keep it going as i hold down (ie, cant use the cue button on the s4 to CUP -- only on x1) is there anyway to change this other than the controller editor? and if so how do i? id love to have that working for toevening (as i have a gig with the s4 and dont wanna screw up -- believeing itll CUP but stop after i let go of the button and missing the mix) | |

Kecia Wnukowski 20.02.2011 | I believe that you may need to include in your mapping a way of replicating the change of deck layers and the shift+play (keylock) and some others states (browse mode?) so it replicates the potential actions on the S4, unless you may have quite a few surprises soon. |

Leeanna Ayla 21.02.2011 | After believeing about and trying my suggestion I'm not sure this is exactly what you want. |
Horacio Stranathan 21.02.2011 | Or just hold the cue button 1-4 and as it starts playing press the play button and it will continue playing from your cue point. |
Coreen Pankow 20.02.2011 | thanks jojo, ill try it out when i get back from work |
Leeanna Ayla 20.02.2011 | Add>Traktor>Kontrol S4>User Mapping then Add in>Transport>CUP (Cue Play) Then learn your play button and I believe it'll work like you want it. You'll need to do it for each deck and it will override the current play button functionality. |
Coreen Pankow 20.02.2011 | yeah. rather than hold then press play manually. use the cue on the s4 to CUP. i have alot of tracks when i do a pre planned mix where i have to quick swap songs (within 8 beats atleast) and it is very convienient to just hit CUP and have it go without the extra step after loading -- i can do this on my x1 but have to swap modes and everything. (especially now that i have load into stopped deck only activated -- saved my ass toevening -- although the s4 did drop out and stop plahing on me randomly, but hitting play got it going again -- maybe i bumped it |
Nakisha Startup 19.02.2011 | Just to clarify, You want it to play once you release the button? |
Coreen Pankow 20.02.2011 | anyone? |
