Sell my S4?
Sell my S4? Posted on: 27.02.2011 by Jerome Burruss Hey all, I'm believeing about selling my S4 to get more money to buy other gear. One of the reasons I bought the lovely thing is because of the software features it came with. Now, on the verge of the Traktor 2 release, it there any sense in having on? I could sell it and get a nice pair of used CDJs and hopefully an x1. | |

Karolis Petrauskas 01.03.2011 | The S4 is great man, keep it. The only way I'd ditch my S4 would be for 2 cdj-900/2000's and at least a djm 800 mixer. With the S4 we can do everything those units offer for a fraction of the price. I've owned cdj 1000's and 800's and the only feature the cdjs have over the s4 is the ability to play a cd and a larger platter. |
Francina Decosse 01.03.2011 | I had CDJ-400s + 4ch FX mixer in a RoadReady coffin and sold it to get the S4. the coffin was about 30kg and was not the most convenient to carry with me. Honestly, this kit was staying at home most of the time ... not to mention that the S4 layout and feel pleases me more than most of the other gear i have owned or played with. I wouldn't sell. For me, the S4 is more practical & pleasant than anything else out there. Not to mention that you'll end up spending at least double. |
Mandy Lupone 01.03.2011 | Dont sell it! Make love with it! That is what i do in the club almost every weekend:P And i will even love it more when tp2 comes out And wouldnt you need extra time codes to make it work with TP? correct me if im wrong about this... |

Tatum Ansaldo 28.02.2011 | I don't understand, the features are still there it's just everyone will have them soon, were you just enjoying the exclusivity? |
Merilyn Sellards 28.02.2011 | traktor 2 upgrade is for free with s4. Keep it dude I highly recommend this, and doubt you will enjoy cdjs more in the long run. |
Franklin Momany 28.02.2011 | I have a feeling many B/S threads coming as of April 1st. The all in one solution you describe would be hard to give up though. |
Reginia Tramble 28.02.2011 | wouldn't you have to de authorize your account with native instruments if you sold it? That means you'd have to purchase traktor 2 separate, maybe i'm misunderstanding the thread. |
Julissa Serrone 27.02.2011 | there's quite a few reasons why would still keep it - it's an all in one solution, plug and play - there are only a handful of 4 channel controllers out - excellent jog wheel response - 1:1 mapping - it cost less than two CDJ's, 4 channel mixer, and sound card I enjoy having the S4 as a plug and play solution. I also have an Audio 8 and X1 if I ever needed something smaller or more portable. |
