HELP!! setting up my S4 to the stereo Posted on: 28.02.2011 by Sherryl Nonato does the S4 have a way to plug in RCA 3 point cables?if not do i need a converter? or should i just get the TRS cables? with is better for sound quality, and if my speakers go to my sub with the RCA cables can i then go from the sub to the S4 with the TRS or should the cables all be the same? RCA in the case of audio signals is 2 cores, a left and a right, while TRS and XLR have 3 cores for a balanced signal. The 3 core RCA would have to be used with an adapter to XLR or whatever, don't even know if they're available. That said, I assume you're running your cables over quite short distances so tbh 2 core RCA would do you just fine. |

Sherryl Nonato 28.02.2011 | before i decide to not go to work to finally use my s4 and set it up, quick question.. am i just trying to by a 1/4 TRS cable? no adapters, no connecters nothing like that... im looking to buy the stuff from www.storedj.com.au www.djwarehouse.com.au could someone show me which cables i have a feeling im gonna pick the wrong one. i also have to eait for postage so if i get it right the first time i can record a mix on the weekend.. win/win for everyone |

Sherryl Nonato 28.02.2011 | I have nEar 05 by ESi monitor speakers which are hooked up to my SW10k ESI Sub. i believe i know what i have to do from reading the comments. i can run the XLR cables from my monitor speakers into the sub. the from the sub i can run TRS cables into the back of the S4? if someone can conform ill call my a audio shop and get the cables.. also is the sizing of the TRS cable input connecter the same as a headphone jack for the s4? thanks a lot guys |
