robert chanda 19.09.2010 | Truth is, a bunch of people were sent the original design as a paper template and asked to answer a rigorous online questionnaire about sections, uses, omissions, improvements and typical workflows. It started off with some oddities, like the "sync" was a pushbutton on a rotary control - When you need to hit sync you usually need it in a hurry, so that had to go. So, not only Ean, but he does go visit companies and do the Meet & Greet. |
Audrey Pinda 18.09.2010 | Arcade Buttons take up a lot of space. While it IS a big controller, it's probably one of the spots where they wanted to keep it completely professional looking and maintain symbiosis with the rest of the build. While I believe arcade buttons are great in concept, it doesn't appeal to everyone. And by the look of the current buttons, they look a lot better than much of the competition and I'm sure the "feel" of them was something well taken into account. |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 19.09.2010 | Yeah thats it, NI couldnt afford them... lol |
Adrien Hochstrasser 19.09.2010 | Because arcade buttons were too expensive to manufacture and take up too much space on the controller. I'd guess that entire controller cost less than $80 to manufacture lol |
