NI could lower their warranty returns by making the tempo and volume faders accessible, detachable and replaceable/cleanable. A removable face plate like on the djm800 pioneer mixer would be great.

sorry to unearth this but do NI pay any feedback or involvement in NI points? SO if Ean worked 4 months on the S4, that should be a lot of NI points to redeem...

Truth is, a bunch of people were sent the original design as a paper template and asked to answer a rigorous online questionnaire about sections, uses, omissions, improvements and typical workflows. It started off with some oddities, like the "sync" was a pushbutton on a rotary control - When you need to hit sync you usually need it in a hurry, so that had to go.

So, not only Ean, but he does go visit companies and do the Meet & Greet.

Arcade Buttons take up a lot of space. While it IS a big controller, it's probably one of the spots where they wanted to keep it completely professional looking and maintain symbiosis with the rest of the build.

While I believe arcade buttons are great in concept, it doesn't appeal to everyone. And by the look of the current buttons, they look a lot better than much of the competition and I'm sure the "feel" of them was something well taken into account.

Ean did say that the VCI 100SE would remain DJTTs Flagship controller.

He would remiss not to sell the KS4 as well though. It's in high demand and also because he helped with designing certain features.
