S4 FX Unit Assignment Mapping Question
Posted on: 06.03.2011 by Ethel Saracco
I'm working on some smart knob FX mappings for Deck A & B on my M-Audio X Session Pro. I have a dedicated knob for Deck A and one for Deck B. I am also using a modified version of the Instant Gratification Mapping for my Midi-Fighter.

The problem I am having is with the FX Unit 1, 2, 3 & 4 Assignments in Traktor S4. The way the Midi-Fighter is mapped it some how switches these assignments to the appropriate deck depending on what Bank you are using. So if I'm using my Midi-Fighter to trigger FX on Deck A when I try to engage the smart knob for Deck B the assignments are still on Deck A and nothing happens.

I tried looking through the Instant Grat Midi Mapping, but it's pretty daunting in there. Does anyone know the midi commands that I need to implement so that I can get the FX Unit Assignments to move to the appropriate deck when I turn the smart knob for that deck? Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, you just need the fxslot in the mixer to turn on for the deck you have the smart knob assigned to?
If so, add this to your smart knob
Under add, mixer, select the Fx slot (123or4), select hold, then select the deck you want it on, on the right side.
