Can this work with S4 + Maschine ?

I don't have a maschine yet and I can't try this myself, but I hope some of you guys, who has them both can try it.

The Goal: Use S4 with Maschine with ability to pre-cue in the headphones:

The concept in trial:

1) Set maschine Mater Our to the KS4's master out channel
2) Name one more Out channel as Maschine's AUX2 and set it to ouput to the KS4's headphones out.
3) setup each of the Maschine's Groups for the same AUX2 send as in #2.
4) Assuming the AUX2 send level is independent from the main level of the group, we should be able control to which of the two out channels this group will output to - Master or AUX2
5) using a small additional DAW controller like the Korg NanoKontrol, I hope to be able to control the individual levels of each of the 8 groups. Example: the sliders will be the level on the Master bus, while the knobs can control the level sent to AUX2.

that would give great flexibility IMO, as you could pre-program patterns in one or more groups, while listening on the headphones and once ready you can "bring them live" with a move of a fader(s). Setting the AUX2 level for the group to zero or max, controls if the group can be listened in the headphones. That'd be a complete pre-cueing solution (with S4 or in general).

what do you believe? would this work? Can someone test this?

Cheers,

that's beyond the sync mate. The MIDI sync part is clear. This is for Audio Routing

I'm trying to eliminate the need to use any external devices or virtual devices to send Audio from Maschine to KS4. Basically if this works this way, it would be great.

At most, I would be willing to use Soundflower + Aggregated Device for part of the Audio Routing, so I can eventually send the maschine master out to the Traktor's AUX channel. The benefit would be that if Traktor receives Maschine on the AUX, I could:
A) control the maschine's master level using the front panel knob
b) be able to get loops from traktor's AUX using the loop recorder.

Whatever I do, I need to be able to hear maschine in my headphones and for that I'm asking if it's possible to do the fancy thing with the AUX2 in Maschine software.

on one computer

on two

just sync machine and the s4 via midi cable, put both outputs in a (at least) 2channel mixer, precue the maschine on the hardware mixer and the s4 on its own soundcard.
