Not getting 'Key' info anymore
Posted on: 17.03.2011 by Mariano Godina
Hi All,

Just a quick one, i use mixed in key to analyse my songs, and up until now when i import tracks into traktor, the key '2A' for example, shows up in the 'Key' column in Traktor.

But today i analysed a bunch of songs, put them in but the Key column is blank.
I checked mixed in key and it has analysed them correctly, tried some other songs and the same thing happened.

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

Perfect! Works a beauty now! Guess MIK just need a little bump.

yes that's checked too. I've just unchecked that and changed a selection in MIK prefs, then put it back to how it was, restarted MIK, deleted the tracks from MIK and it's now re analyzing them. Also restarted traktor, maybe it just need a little refresh.
Fingers crossed!

There's also a check box to update "initial key" mp3 tag (viewable in Traktor) below that in MIK preferences.

Thanks jojo, i checked that, it's set to 'over write comments', like it has been since i got it.

It's funny how it's started doing it just now. I did a load of tracks just the other day and it was fine.

Double check that you have it set to put the key in the column field in MIK. May have somehow gotten unchecked?

I put the tracks in itunes, (couldn't see a key column in itunes) but in the comments column the key wasn't written for those tracks, where as older tracks the key shows up in the comments column in itunes.

Weird.
