annoying problem with the s4 Posted on: 19.04.2011 by Stormy Svihel So here's the deal. I started my laptop and launched tp2 and plugged the s4 in. tp2 couldnt recognize the controller. I tried to solve it for a while and then decided to install the latest update for traktor pro s4. it started working again. But now every time i turn off my computer and start it again i have to go through the same process every time because I can't figure why the software dont recognize the s4. any advice? audio runs thru s4 but it just don't control the software.a little help for the newbie would be appreciated! | |

Karolis Petrauskas 20.04.2011 | You may also bring it to life using the traktor s4 software....usually works for me. Btw this issue is a huge pain in my rear. |
Harris Defrates 20.04.2011 | I have the same issue. I usually restart my computer now before I hook up my S4 to the laptop and it picks it up. I'm sure the next driver update will correct the issue. Also I have an X1 connected too and when the S4 isn't lit up neither is my X1. Just like you the audio does work through the S4. Whenever I restart (even though its a pain in the ass) it ends up working. |
Stormy Svihel 20.04.2011 | no theres no life on the channel meters. browsing goes fine and loading a track into a deck BUT when I press play it won't play the track and the audio setup says that s4 is no connected. And I rebooted my laptop and now only thing that works with the s4 is audio coming out of its master out. could it just be the drivers I mean that is there a driver for the s4 and an own driver for the built in audio interface? |
Leeanna Ayla 20.04.2011 | Do the channel meters on the S4 light up? |
Stormy Svihel 20.04.2011 | i have the s4 selected and it says not connected but i can control the software with the s4. theres no audio at all thru external speakers nor cue. my output routing is fine it goes with rca cable to the speakers. |
Leeanna Ayla 20.04.2011 | Have you selected the S4 in audio settings? Have you checked your output routing? What are you trying to listen to music through, external speakers or the cue? |
Stormy Svihel 20.04.2011 | I uninstalled the drivers, I did run ccleaner and reinstalled drivers and now tp2 recognizes the s4 but theres no audio? Edit: I installed the beta driver for kontrol s4 2.9.8 and tp2 says that please check your output routing? |
Nedra Fresneda 19.04.2011 | Uninstall the drivers, run ccleaner (fix registry and clean temps), reinstall. |
Tatum Ansaldo 19.04.2011 | do you have the correct drivers installed? |
