DJTT S4 bag vs NI/UDG carrying bag
Posted on: 30.03.2011 by Rosina Steinkuehler
Today DJTT announced their new S4 bag: http://www.djranking s.com/2011/03/2...ontrol-s4-bag/

NI recently announced their version of a carrying bag as well: http://co.native-instruments.com/ind...5&redirected=1

Looking the two over, which one do you prefer?

EDIT: it is not clear from the NI page that it works with the S4?

I am just happy now that there are some options for all of us S4 users out there who have been struggling getting their controllers too, and from gigs. I have been in this situation in the past and even went to unsafe measures with my controller on the motorbike with an unpadded bag risking breaking my gear. But now we have these sweet fully padded and waterproof cases to hold the S4 and a whole lot more@!

DJTT bag cheapest option to ship to South Africa - I don't know about UK. I only paid (R680 - about 65 pounds duty on my S4). The UDG trolley bag, albeit stunning, is more than twice the cost of the DJTT option.

I believe you may be able to fit the S4 with the Decksaver. It would be nice to know for sure though. What is the height of the S4 with the Decksaver on it. If you give me that dimension I should be able to help you out.

First tof all, the N.I bag is a no for me as it has the Traktor logo plastered on it, which kinda says 'Steal me' to some people.
II don't believe i'll get either as they don't have back pack straps. I also couldn't see a lot of room to fit headphones in the ranking s bag, maybe someone could show a pic or video of it comfortable fitting headphones without them bulging out.
Out the 2 the tech tools one seems better, i like how its well built, clearly good thought has gone into it.
I will still go for the Magma gig bag 25 though, spacious, strong, backpack bag.

If you look closely in the video, ean has a midifighter, laptop, TMA-1s and the s4 in the bag at one point....granted the tma-1s are not the size of hdj 2000s but for my hd 25-1 ii it should work fine.

If I can get some money back for my novation bag I may get this

The new DJTT S4 bag looks very nice. Although, I'm not sure there is enough space in the front compartment to fit all the other things many of us carry around along with the S4. In any case, anyone considering this bag should also take a look at the one from Odyssey which has comparable features and price.

Someone should do a video of what it could fit. I need something to hold my mac, 2 laptop stands, powerstrip, misc wires, headphones and mic. I'm not sure if the DJTT has that much space, but I hope I'm wrong!

Impossible for the NI bag to hold an S4..

main compartment holds up to 40 vinyl records (35 with a laptop inside) and comprises an individual 15.4 inch laptop bag

That is a good point as I have a 17"MBP. Going to pre-order the DJTT bag as well and pick up the NI bag for my Maschine + X1's. Well hopefully I can fit both X1's in the NI bag or maybe 1 in the DJTT bag and one in the NI bag.
