S4 Instant Gratification Mapping

I don't really use my sample buttons all that often so i was wondering whether it is possible to create a MF instant gratification mapping for the S4? I am mainly referring to the beatmasher combo. I am pretty lost when it comes to advanced mapping and don't know where to start. Anybody tried anything like this?

Thanks for the replies. I have tried that superknob mapping before but just can't get it to work. Do i have to put the s4 in midi mode or something? There always seems to be conflicts where the buttons are controlling the standard functions as well as the custom ones.

There are several TSI's in this thread that use some pretty nifty chained effects in the loop recorder section. Worth checking out.

You cant' if you still want to use the native mapping, those buttons aren't really made to be customized. Your best bet is either doing a custom user mapping or switch to midi mode (to access a fully customized layer full of fx tricks).

Otherwise, the only way I can believe of if someone wanna try would be to set up those buttons as beatjump(s) and negate each native beatjump function by its opposite. Not even sure that would work and it sounds so stupid to have data conflicting itself I wouldn't recommend it anyway (without talking about actually 'moving' sound). But then you'll also need to map all modifiers and events that could have an impact on the sample play buttons. Frankly not worth it.

Do you use the loop recorder? You may eventually use the LR's buttons to map some stuff on it.

In all cases if you want access to some direct fx you'll have to keep one (or more) fx units within one mode only (group or advanced). Otherwise you'll need a method first to call the desired mode for the unit and call the fx itself and some of its parameters.
