BPM not showing up in Traktor I was under the impression that when music shows up in traktor, it would automatically show the songs bpm. If this is not accurate, could someone let me know the procedure to get the bpm to show up. Thank you! |

Hmm, thats strange ???
I downloaded mine from here:
http://www.mixmeister.com/bpmanalyzer/bpmanalyzer.asp
I just dragged and dropped and it started going automatically. It did hang once and I had start over where it left off, but for the most part it was hiccup free.
I don't trust the mixmeister analyzer as much as Traktor, but for all the tracks I've tried so far, it did a relatively good job. |

The manual is a PDF version... it is built into Traktor. |

If you're looking at tracks under the itunes library in Traktor, the track will need to be imported into the track library and analyzed. The itunes library in Traktor just reads the id3 tag of the mp3. If the bpm isn't saved in the id3 it won't show up.
What I did for my library was download the mixmeister bpm analyzer (free) and use it to analyze my mp3 collection. This program will edit the id3 tag of the mp3 and list the BPM. To get it to show up in itunes, I selected all tracks, and converted id3 tag to the new version, 2.4 - I found this the easiest way to batch process all the tracks. The only other way to get itunes to scan the updated id3 tag would be to play each song. My library is 200gb, that would have taken forever. Once the id3 tags were updated, I closed itunes and started up Traktor, scrolled down to the itunes library and now every song lists the bpm.
Note: 200gb's worth of mp3's took about 2 days for mixmeister to analyze and edit.
