Patty Mcgilbra 31.08.2011 | I really hope NI gives the S4 the same capabilities as the S2 in regards to re-mapping thejogs etc, shouldnt be too hard I guess as they're basically the same, just a software/firmwar upgrade? |
Kecia Wnukowski 29.08.2011 | The issue is that it is an imperfect solution mainly because it prevents you to use the copy mode and works only for a single layout (could do for different layouts but that would mean, different tsi and switch between them). It's probably way more easier to do for the s2 where you won't have as many states and layers as on the s4. I'm quite curious about how NI will open the s4's native mapping in the future and I'll have a go eventually if something coherent is possible.
It can be done by mapping the jogwheel to FX (slot *) parameter 1(, 2 and 3), and FX (slot *) on 1(,2 and 3). I believe it'll be best mapping them as direct.
Add your own slot of choice ;-) You better start to do a full custom mapping to achieve this (but you'll loose the loop lenght display and a lot of led feedback). So, I left all that aside and I'll wait for future improvements (I hope). ps: as for the above link, it's a lighter version of what I'm using (less presets mainly and I do use 4 fx units) but there's no reason it wouldn't work for T2. Just note it was made for a single specific layout and if you're using the copy mode it will disrupt the mapping. So it's no a really good solution frankly. Or may be I missed the way to do it properly and one may find a solution to fix it, I don't know. |

Judi Sissel 29.08.2011 | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QJt9sY34NI You mean something like this? As you can tell Yul has the S4 completely re-mapped, but it does show that it is possible. He also made it so that jogs functions were still intact and were activated by the load button. |
