if you cant see the recalibrate options then

YOU AINT RUNNING THE UPDATE

you should have a shortcut link on the desktop, thats titled something like
Traktor S4 1.0.1 Setup PC (im a windows user)

click it and run it, that should do the job

I went to preferences -traktor s4- calibration but the option wasnt there to calibrate the jog wheels!

I had the same problem. thank god there are two decks per jog wheel. made life a bitch but lets you keep going.
...anyways quick fix I found halfway through the set was to play the track (even if the song doesn't "play") then give the jog wheel a firm nudge in the fast-forward direction and it should then be able to que up/play/whatever as usual. I believe the issue is that the hardware is too sensitive and believes you're holding down the jog wheel, which is why even while it's in play, it's paused. nudging it is tells the jog wheel what's up. That's why (I assume) calibrating the wheel fixes it.

Open the NI service center in in your program files and seriously, RTFM!!! nearly every question you've asked has been answered in there.

next problem im having there seems to be a prob with the software syncing with the s4, the song will play and it won't show its playin in the software!

Sounds like it's in a micro loop, how odd. Hope you fixed it!

On formats, if a track has DRM it won't work. The full list of compatible file types should be in the manual and on NI's website somewhere.
