Traktor s4 + ableton squared= interesting Posted on: 28.10.2011 by Harmony Stache hi,thanks for reading this. any help would be greatly appreciated! -------------------------------------------------------- REAL SCENARIO : I have a band. One of us is running ableton triggering backing tracks and using synths and (rme fireface 800 audio interface/sound card) to run everything out to pa I also have ableton + s4 traktor 2 and want to be in sync with bandmate we are syncing through ethernet and traktor is synced to midi clock in ableton ---thank you dubspot method --------------------------------------------------------------------- PROBLEM: how can I run bandmates output of ableton (backing tracks/ main mix) into s4 tracktor or ableton in order to be able to use s4/ tracktor 2 for adding on and effecting sound. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- was believeing of using a deck and turning it into a line input and do u believe this would work for a live setup ?? thanks... much love | |

| Harmony Stache 12.11.2011 | sorry ab0ut theh long time. been super busy but just wanted to let those know that this is how u do it.. sync up through ethernet ----and run cord from mixer to input of traktor change deck c or d to live audio and then use out from traktor and run back through input of mixer find it in ableton channel enable routing on the other computer and you have yourself a nice day! any questions?? let me know |

| Charline Dye 28.10.2011 | Yes that sounds right. Run the audio output of the abelton aound card into the S4. Deck D or C. Make sure you have the switch on back set correctly, and change the deck in the software to live ( not track or sample deck, duh) I am not at computer now and can't remember if you have to mess with the input routing in preferences, but the manual should tell you. |
