I thought that by reading the title topic 'Cueing Headphones with external hardrive?' in a traktor s4 community it might be obvious that i was having problems cueing up in my headphones through my s4 while using an external HD. i am using a presonus firebox SC and a macbookpro with traktor 2. if this helps. thx |

King Mascarinas 17.11.2011 | IT is all about audio setup.Make sure you have the s4 selected in here(it should do it automatically). Does your hard drive have a soundcard? Why would you use that when you have an s4? |

Leeanna Ayla 10.11.2011 | Make sure the S4 is set as the audio device in Traktor. |
Kayce Mesia 10.11.2011 | I'm going to go out on a limb here and say your audio settings in Traktor aren't setup properly. Go to Traktor's preferences and look in the "Audio Setup" section and ensure the right device is selected. Then check the "Output Routing" section and make sure the "Output Monitor" and "Output Master" are set correctly. Edit: Padi, stop that. |
Nedra Fresneda 10.11.2011 | External HD has nothing to do with it. Post a screen cap of your audio settings in traktor. |
Winston Kilfoyle 10.11.2011 | ...and i have traktor running yes! i use the external HD and monitor speakers for my home setup (firewire to my monitor) at my desk for listening to itunes, movies, djing etc etc etc its just easier for me that way. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it? |
Kayce Mesia 10.11.2011 | Let's try doing what most of the customer support lines do to me when I call them for help. First off, is the S4 plugged in? Edit: Also, why use an external sound card with the S4? That could be your problem. |

John Aird 10.11.2011 | ...you need to connect the S4 to a computer and run Traktor on it... Then you can connect your external drive to the computer and play the tracks in Traktor... I really believe you should read the manual.... |
