Oops I did it again - New S4 video
Posted on: 11.12.2011 by Kecia Wnukowski
A short 15 minutes mix, more focused this time on cutting tracks (jumping from one hotcue to another one and using some beatjumps), activating loops, using a few samples to spice up the mix., and less on using FX. The Traktor layout is 3 track decks (A,B&D) and a sample deck (controlled by TouchOsc on the Iphone).

Take care guys, and thanks for the support.

ps: the faders and coloured knobs are either the stock ones I painted myself or some from DJs-face, or ones from DJTT (the FX ones that can't actually be seen because of the low light). The video is quite dark, I need to believe about that next time but hopefully there's an improvement as the video isn't reversed ^^.

Playlist:
Terry Linn - Kingstonlogic (Coejacq dub)
Agoria - Speechless (feat. Carl Craig & Las Scalars - Gesaffelstein remix)
White Label - Romantica
Joey Beltram - Forklift (93 classic mix)
Kiki - The end of the world
+ 5 samples

That's one of my all-time classic, still have the vinyl, absolute sure each time dancefloor destroyer.

Thanks guys.
Mmmh. I don't really remember for the sample you're asking about, I believe it was taken originally from Superfunk, 'young Mc' or 'ragga mc' (can't remember the track's name but it's either one of the two - and it is written in my sample collection as coming from the loop recorder). I should take the time to properly tag all those.

You pair TouchOSC with macbook?
nope, a pc, which is actually my tower as I don't have a laptop anymore. The wifi connection is solid even on pc so I have no issues on that.
I just wanted to check the template I made for controlling a sample deck (something I made some times ago and didn't really used since). I need to tidy it up and clean all the midi messages, it's quite a mess right now.

Great stuff as usual. I just reinstalled Touch OSC on my phone last evening after giving up on it over a year ago.
Yeah, I'm quite broke currently so the iphone is for the time being a good alternative. I may have a look at Lemur, but the price point is a bit high for the moment. I need to be convinced it can do more in terms of functions than TouchOsc rather than being only a real improvement on the aesthetical aspect.

Great mix, like the acapella from "It's all gone Pete Tong"
