Best way to beatgrid?
Best way to beatgrid? Posted on: 11.12.2011 by Anamaria Cappola Hey, I have this problem with my beatgrids. Sometimes when I wan't to play two tracks, I can hear the kicks on top of eachother, it sounds like I got "tick" activated, and it sounds really bad. I've heard something about that place your first grid marker on the first snare, but they can be pretty far into the song and sometimes hard to find. What's the best way to beatgrid, and how can I make my songs to line up on the kicks, so that I don't get that sound of the "tick"?Best regards, Jack H. | |

Monserrate Rupnow 16.12.2011 | I thought this was the best tutorial on the process, I found it faster to use than the DJTechTools one myself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIxl5954ib4 |
Loralee Vertner 12.12.2011 | There's a few tutorials on this site and maybe search youtube for the dubspot tutorial on it. I personally like to just use auto for tempo then trash the grid, place the first marker on the first transient or near the 1 minute mark on a solid 1 count. Tap actually works halfway decently as well for me with things like hip-hop or glitch hop. |
Leeanna Ayla 12.12.2011 | Do you have the tick on in Traktor? I set the grid marker on the first main beat. For teh most part traktor's auto grid works well for me. |
