Should i be worried about buying an s4 if i'm running a pc with windows?

I have decided on purchasing an s4 but i've heard that it is "plug and pray" rather then plug and play when using a s4 with a pc. Is this a story of the past? Or should i still be worried? Im currently using a mixtrack pro with tsp2. No issues what so ever. My computer is a 2011 dell inspiron 15r. With more then enough memory, core i5, windows 7, and 8 gigs ram.

If its just for bedroom mixing you will be fine, If you were to play out. You would need to tweak some stuff for a better peace of mind
Whats the basic ways of setting up windows for traktor? Sound like something that could help me.

If it's windows it's plug and pray.. even after you follow all of the tips.

as long as a electronic components are involved you should... but lot of people use it and have no problem. No need to be afraid, there's always a solution.

Do check out some of the hundreds of posts on NI's community from from Windows users with unresolved issues relating to S4. http://www.native-instruments.com/fo...006#post976006 (480 posts on this thread alone)

Yes, you should be concerned about S4/Windows compatibility issues.

I assume that if your machine is currently running traktor fine, that plugging in a S4 will make no difference in stability. Afterall, it's just a controller, just like your Mixtrack Pro.
