No Audio Output From S4 Main
No Audio Output From S4 Main Posted on: 30.12.2011 by Delphine Schleig Hey guys, I've had my S4 for for a good 5 months now and I've been using it with out any problems what so ever. Yesterday my midi fighter finally shipped, and I assembled it, downloaded the IF mapping, and was ready to go. I started up Traktor 2, and my S4 lit up like is usually does, and I selected a track using the S4 to test out my new midi fighter. When I clicked play on the deck, the lights on the channel fader would move like normally, but no sound at all would play out of the main output and the lights on either sides of the main level knob would not light up. However, I can still switch the deck to cue and hear it through my head phones. I can still use every other part of the S4, so it has something to do with the output. I've tried everything from restoring my original mapping, re-installing traktor, restarting my mac & resetting the PRAM and unplugging the S4 I still have no idea what's going on, and I have party to play at in a week. Please help! Thanks in advance, Tyler ----------------------- UPDATE If I go to system preferences, and choose the sound output to go through the S4 and play music through iTunes or any other source BUT Traktor, the main level lights will turn on and I will hear sound through my speakers. But once I try to use Traktor while using this setting, nothing changes from the original problem. | |

Delphine Schleig 30.12.2011 | When I went to that tab, it was already set on internal mixing mode. Should it be set on external? |
Len Lukawski 30.12.2011 | checkout your audio output settings? |
Delphine Schleig 30.12.2011 | I'm not using the midi fighter as of now, I want to get my s4 working again. But on the controller manager tab, I have the in and out ports for the s4 both set on the S4 & nothing is working. |
Len Lukawski 30.12.2011 | Do you have the midi IN-PORT and OUT-PORT set to the S4 and MidiFighter for each respective device? If you are using ALL PORTS you may have an issue. Worth a look as a quick potential fix. |
