Traktor Kontrol S2

Traktor Kontrol S2
Posted on: 03.01.2012 by Steven Dedecker
I need a confirmation, since NI seems to give a flying f*** in its customers.
I've got the Traktor Kontrol S2, and i have suddenly got problems with it. GLitching and freezing all up. Is this known by other users? And is it a driver problem? I asked the same over at NI, and the other users just told me to buy a Mac. Well if i wanted a Mac I would have bought one. But for now i have a Windows based system Win 7 x64.

Please someone tell me there is a fix, or i can throw the kontroller as long as i can.

It sounds like with a problem with traktor rather than the s2. Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. It could be many things such as your buffer size or another program running in the background? Have you made sure all other programs are shut when running traktor?

I have today ordered a Audio 8 Dj sound card. I believe that this wil solve a lot of problems around the drivers of the S2. The thing is, that i know of a couple of other dj's that have purchased the S2 and having the simular problem as me.
What i cannot grasp, is the lack of support from NI. Well, well. I will not let that destroy all the good times i have experienced already with the controller. So i will drop a line or two after the Audio 8 Dj is installed.

Thx for the inputs guys.

im using one on a win 7 64bit lappy with no issues...

Try turning off your wireless adapter, antivirus and the multi processor support in settings.

I can't help personally as I'm on a Mac also, but have you tried the tips listed in this thread? http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=23335

The same tips would apply to S2 owners on Win 7

Good luck

Sad to hear that NI customer service is so lacking. Just got a S2 about a week ago. No problems yet but I do have a Mac so things tend to run smoothly for me. Hope you get your problem fixed though.
