Alphonso Deitchman 13.02.2013 | The MAYA 44 has 4 mono outs, which is equivalent to 2 stereo outs. The Gigaport has 8 mono/4 stereo outputs that could work well for your setup. |
Nell Goedert 13.02.2013 | something like this right? MAYA-44-USB 4 In 4 Out USB Audio Interface. |
Alphonso Deitchman 13.02.2013 | If you already have the sound cards then sure. If you don't, you'd be better off buying a dedicated 4+ stereo output card. |
Nell Goedert 13.02.2013 | lol this whole time i was believeing it had that option . aggregating A2+A6 , recommended? A4 hard to find since discontinued. |
Alphonso Deitchman 13.02.2013 | Maschine is also USB, you don't need to use MIDI. A2 + A6 will give you 5 stereo outputs when aggregated. |
Nell Goedert 13.02.2013 | I forgot to put Maschine (Midi IN / OUT) . would this also work A2 w/ A6 ? |
Alphonso Deitchman 13.02.2013 | If you're just using the X1 and 1D you shouldn't need to bother with any MIDI in/out. They both work over USB. |
Nell Goedert 13.02.2013 | Okay thanks and from there I will be able to "ex" hook up my x1 to control A/B and 1d to C/D and use connect MASCHINE midi IN and out directly into the interface? |
Alphonso Deitchman 13.02.2013 | Open Audio MIDI setup in OSX and create a new aggregate device, then select your A4+A6 outputs in the checkboxes on the right. |
Nell Goedert 13.02.2013 | Okay makes sense. Yes I do have a mac. So how would I connect the A4+6 to work with 4 channels |
Alphonso Deitchman 13.02.2013 | If you have a Mac then you can reliably combine two audio devices if you have them already. Don't bother if you've yet to buy them though. If you can get an Audio 8 or 10 without the additional Scratch Timecode license it could be worth it, otherwise there are other sound cards on the market. |
Nell Goedert 13.02.2013 | so theres no way i can use audio 4 + 6 to use em all at once? or just buy the audio 10 |
Alphonso Deitchman 13.02.2013 | So 4 decks? You'll need something with 4 independant stereo outputs then. |
