Just picked up an S2 - need some setup help Posted on: 04.02.2012 by Evie Baghdasarian Hey guys and gals. So I jumped on the S2 bandwagon, and am trying to get it setup. It took multiple installs of the drivers to get all of the controls on the S2 functioning (only deck A was working at first, and the looping buttons and encoders did nothing). I could swap the gain control over to a filter via the S2 heading in settings and had it working as a filter, however when i have my X1 plugged in as well, only gain works, even tho filter is highlighted in the settings, and even when i use the shift button, I can only control gain. Also, the orange triangle on the unit is continuously flashing, and i cannot seem to figure out why. Can anyone share some insight into my situation. I would much rather use the gain knob as a filter, rather then gain. And would like to know what this orange light is all about. I figured this would have been a more straight forward install since im using 2.1.2 and a macbook Cheers, Jay | |

Evie Baghdasarian 09.02.2012 | Im using the standard S2 mapping, I've got em working, but now im having this problem here..... http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=46190 |
Jarod Perrodin 09.02.2012 | Just checking, are you using the standard s2 mapping? not a user or add on one. The setting only applies to the standard map I believe |
Emogene Macdonald 09.02.2012 | Have you tried to reinstall just the drivers and then run the set up wizard in traktor? I was have some problems and thats what solved it for me. |
Evie Baghdasarian 06.02.2012 | still no luck with getting my filters working and im not to sure what to do from here. can anyone else offer any insight? would a reinstall of TSP2 possible rectify the issue? I've never had to do a reinstall of the program, and if this is the route i need to go how do i ensure i dont lose all of my grids and cue points? I hope there is something else i can do other then a reinstall Cheers, Jay |
Jaleesa Zheng 04.02.2012 | Yeah about the other question I'm not sure, I'm new to the gear. Hopefully somebody else can answer your question. |

Jaleesa Zheng 04.02.2012 | When the triangle is flashing on my traktor s2. I just plug in my laptop charger and it goes away. Its like a battery symbol for me. No charge plugged in = flashes. When i plug the charge in, goes away. Try that. |
Evie Baghdasarian 04.02.2012 | I have tried to hold shift plus gain, but that still only controls gain I would really like to get this working for the filter, even tho the clickyness of it is less then ideal. The orange triangle seems to have stopped flashing |
Jarod Perrodin 04.02.2012 | Hi mate, The orange light can be the overall volume is to low, possibly track end warning? I dont use the standard map so I cant remember exactly what makes the light flash, is it flashing? Maybe restart the macbook and see if it behaves. Does holding shift while using the gain nobs make the filters work? Good luck mate |
