Traktor Pro via CDJ400 sound glitch
Posted on: 01.03.2012 by Amee Newark
Hello everyone!
I have problem with my setup
I have two pioneer cdj400 players and a pioneer djm 800 mixer. I run traktor PRO on my vaio laptop using the cdjs as outputs and midi controllers at the same time (in external mixing mode). The feature is very handy and works really good until it comes to the sound part. Sometimes i get these really heavy sound glitches that would crack in the middle of the song. Now i tried both win 7 and xp and the OS does not seem to have anything to do with it.

Anybody has any ideas what to do?
Thank you

Thank you. I will definitively look into that. Btw, it happens mostly when i browse or load tracks. At first i was believeing that it's a hardware problem, so i tried the same thing on my desktop computer, which has 8gb of RAM and an i3 processor and it had the same problem. can it be the pioneer driver too?

Does the CPU meter hit the red when you're experiencing the glitch/spike? If so, then its a matter of latency and that has been discussed in detail both here and in the Native Instruments community s (the latter has an in-depth FAQ/guide on how to troubleshoot the problem). Usually its a hardware driver (often bluetooth or wifi) but the NI page would show you how you can find and potentially eliminate the problem.
