hello,

i need help in connecting my s4 to a numark ns6. since they are both controllers and have the 4 channel mixer i was wondering if this is possible to connect the two together? the reason i want to do this is because i have a gig coming up with a friend and he is more comfortable using his ns6 then using my s4. We plan to be going b2b all evening so thats why i was wondering how we can connect the two together. if any one can plz help it would be much appreciated. i know as far as software goes for the ns6 it uses serato itch so idk if that would be a problem when connecting to the s4.

you could also connect both master outputs into a two channel mixer and this allows for you to scratch on top of your friend without having to do it so it affects his master volume.
the only down fall with connecting both of them together you wont be able to sync them you have to do it all by ear i have tried.

Not sure if ITCH has midi-sync like Traktor does, but the best advice is learning to beatmatch. It shouldn't be that difficult if the BPM's are the same on both machines.

Just one more question. How do we get the beatmatching done. When I hit sync on my s4 it won't beatmatch with the ns6. The sync button only seems to work with the deck a and b on the ns6 but it won't work in sync with the s4. So far we have been setting our bpm to strictly 130.00 and transition on downbeats of our songs but sometimes depending on a song the beat sounds off.

On the NS6, just move the switch on the channel from "PC" to "Line" to hear the audio from the input. You don't need to do anything on your S4.

do i have to mess with any of the settings on the ns6 or s4 or is it just simple plug & play?

Just plug your S4 master output into one of the channels on the NS6. The NS6 can be used as an analog mixer, so the audio isn't routed through Serato.
