Worried about my Dell Laptop with S4

I've read several messages about a Dell versus Mac... Will I have any problems using a Dell as long as it meets the minimum requirements to use with the S4 ??

Im a bit worried and need advice.....thanks!

Nice! I did get my XPS 15 L501x to work just fine after a few tweaks. The major issue was the wi-fi adapter being ON but there were still other minor issues that caused the occasional unwanted audio glitch.

It was just ironic that my work issued no frills Lenovo worked just as well as my high powered Dell even though it was not Quad Core, used XP Pro and only had 4GB RAM.

You won't know until you get it and set it up. There are many Windows laptops that will NEVER work no matter what tuning you do. On the flip side, there are many that will work. I bought a Dell XPS 15 and it tooks weeks to get it to work properly. But before that laptop, I had a Lenovo that worked perfectly the moment I plugged it in. I regretted buying a fancy laptop that took so much work to integrate with the S4 when my old Lenovo worked from day one.

Your best is to buy the exact configuration that someone else has that has proven works or buy something from http://www.TraktorLaptops.com.

04.03.2012		Likewise, I run an XPS 1645 (even older) and I've never had problems. Didnt even have to tweak settings, just plug and play

04.03.2012		That's interesting, I've got an XPS15 and haven't had any issues with the S4, not even had to do any of the tweaks/turn off wifi etc. However, make sure you use the combi port which is USB2.0 and run in full screen mode.

03.03.2012		You'll have no problems so long as you follow the simple steps that are posted in this community . Make sure you follow the tweaks for optimising windows for audio and also run one of the S4 scripts.

My Acer laptop runs sweet with my s4 and all i have to do is turn off wifi, turn off battery manager and turn off my antivirus software.
