Maschine and S4 work in harmony?
Maschine and S4 work in harmony? Posted on: 11.03.2012 by Soraya Burrs Hey guys,i've been scouring the net all day so far to no avail so i figured the best option would be to start posting on community s in hope for a yes or no answer, and if yes details on how to do it. What I'm looking to do is use my s4 as the controller it is but i would also like to run my machine in order to add more cue points in, i've found many mappings for machine via traktor bible and other sources but i cannot for the life of me figure out how to set up maschine in midi mode so that i can do this. If anyone could provide me with answers it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks | |

| robin loo 13.03.2012 | afaik you have to set up maschine with the controller editor to tell it what midi notes to send. take a look at the manual it's all in there.. |

| Jarod Perrodin 12.03.2012 | Ok, go into the mapping on traktor, make double sure you have selected the maschine input, then pick a control and hit learn, press a pad, see if it picks it up. If it works, load the control editor file again and delete and import the tdi file again. As long as you have the maschine selected it should work fine. Good luck |
| Soraya Burrs 12.03.2012 | well I'm only assuming its sending a signal into maschine because one of the pads will blink on beat with the track I'm playing, and yeah traktor doesn't receive anything from maschine. Now if i open my controller editor and press any of the pads it will blink a red light next to in/out in the controller editor. |

| Soraya Burrs 12.03.2012 | I've tried deleting both the ncc file and tsi files out of controller editor and tp2 but still won't work, for the mapping i want to use pad 13 for example represents deck a so when i have a track playing in deck a that pad flashes on beat, so its getting the input from traktor but won't send anything back. don't know if that will help with finding a solution at all but figure i'd throw that out there |

| Jarod Perrodin 12.03.2012 | Hi Jordan, it works well most of the time ok, un plug the maschine, quit traktor, plug the maschine back in, restart traktor. In traktor preferences select the map you want to use with the maschine, and select the maschine midi in and output. put the maschine in midi mode with shift and control. It should work fine now hopefully |

| Soraya Burrs 12.03.2012 | I don't know what i did last evening but i did have the two working together, of course try again this afternoon to no avail, last evening i was at least getting CTRL light flashes in TP2 with maschine and traktor but back to square one today, if anyone knows what i should try or do let me know. |
