Planning to buy a MacBook Pro, was just wondering if the cheapest; i5 dual core, 4GB RAM, 13" screen would be sufficient for using with serato?

Offtopic: Would this macbook also run ableton live smoothly?

^Check that Link - look under "General Questions." That machine should be just fine . Will handle ableton as well, though if you start hammering your ableton project with 30+ tracks, loads of VSTs....you may have issues.

***edit - though you probably want the SeratoDJ minimum specs lol.... http://serato.com/dj/features
