S4 randomly stops playback :( :(
Posted on: 21.03.2012 by Jacquelynn Ninmann
Hi, I got a strange problem yesterday. About 5 days ago, my PC wouldn't regonize the S4 at all, and the USB light was flashing, so I reinstalled the driver, and then it worked again. then, a few days after, all of a sudden sometimes in the middle of a song, the playback stops, and I can't use any of the deck controls. EQ and FX and such works fine, but not any deck related, and it doesn't work until I turn off and on the controller. I really want to solve this, because I'm playing my first gig next month.

I'm running Traktor Pro 2.1.2
and my driver version is 3.0.2

I'm running on:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel core 2 duo T6400 2 Ghz
4 GB RAM

I never experienced any like this before I reinstalled the driver. I use the power script for windows, I'm disabling the ACPI battery and Wifi, and all my OS graphics are set to performance over looks.

Hope someone will be able to help me!

If this doesn't solve the problem start a ticket with NI.
I'll try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes!

Where would I be able to download that driver version?

it's installed with the Traktor Pro 2.1.2. update, I reinstalled it but didn't update it to the newer S4 driver version.
