Connecting S4 & S2 together?
Connecting S4 & S2 together? Posted on: 29.03.2012 by Marcellus Ondrako A friend and I are going to start doing some gigs together. I have an S4 and he has an S2. Went over to his house to practice and was going to plug a MIDI cable from mine to his, but realized the S2 has no MIDI ports. So what is the best way for us to sync up? Should he buy a USB MIDI device? Would that even work? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! | |

Somer Vanstraten 28.03.2012 | I managed that out like a year ago with a mate, using a Ethernet cable directly in the pc. I was using Mac and he was using windows. Midi clock!! |
Marcellus Ondrako 28.03.2012 | Cool. I'll try the USB MIDI deal. I forgot to mention I run on OS X and he is on Win 7, so that complicates things a little more. |

Marcellus Ondrako 28.03.2012 | Just hoping the USB MIDI device was a possibility, as its much cheaper. |
Erica Charvet 28.03.2012 | You MAY be able to just get away with an external MIDI interface. But I've never done this so I can't tell you for sure. I believe I posted prematurely. lol. |
Marcellus Ondrako 28.03.2012 | So it can't be the internal sound card on the S2, plus a USB MIDI interface? |
Erica Charvet 28.03.2012 | You will need an external sound card with a MIDI input. |
